Why UDC didnt win the 2014 Elections. 1) Late coming. A brand need time to be sold to the people and UDC was just lunched by April 2014 if that was April 2013 BDP could be the main opposition and BCP win nothing Including council seats. They could have forced the Voters roll to reach a 1.5 million mark. But unfortunately they came after the registrations were done and very close to the supplementary registration. I simple advice them to start to work now by recruiting people into UDC for 2019 and the should forget that BCP exist and focus on making sure that their foot soldiers are increased ten folds. They should not buy into a story that BDP is the enemy BCP is the enemy as it competing with them for opposition vote. FT east, Tonota, Boteti west, shoshong kanye North, Molapowabojang/Mathethe , Thamaga Manyana, Lephephe were lost due to the above facts 17+ 8=25 2) Thinking that it was obvious in some areas: The loss of UDC in lobatse, kgalagadi North and Kgalagadi South was just simple the results of taken to it that they are on the bag. Yes they were on the bag with BNF but some people might have failed to link UDC and BNF and as a result they Voted BDP and Some BCP as they didnt know UDC. If you can call the elections again on those areas UDC will going to kill BDP 25+3=28. Next time they must no that there is no seat on the Bag until the bag is on the bus. 3) Fielding political rejects: i dont believe in recycling politicians if you win general elections then loss them its a sin that they are some displeasure about you so a good political party must make it its principle that if you become an MP and you loss the next general elections you must retire. People of letlhakeng/ Lephephe and Takatokwane could have voted UDC if it was not for Nagafela and Mokgathi. 28+ 2=30 . Next time they must hunt for revolutionists on this two areas 4) BPP as a liability to UDC brand. BPP was being sold by the UDC brand instead of BPP brand salleng the UDC BRAND. BPP needs to rebrand and recruit young people into its leadership this could have helped them to Bag in FT West and Shashe West 30+2 =32 5) BPP with no human capital. The reason i joined BDP in 2010 was i wanted to have influence in Tati West political landscape but not a political activists. I was pained by political reject and riteries being used to represent us and the only way i could participate was to be involeved in Bulela Ditswe to make sure that a good candidate will pass that stage as it was to more difficult stage as BPP was just dyeing. The fielded old man in almost 8/9 words in tati west who cant make any change in anybody,s life, guess what they won the only ward they fielded a young person. UDC is a revolution that whats to change the regime so you need young and vibrant people. That costs them two seats Tati West and Tati East 32+2= 34. They need to recruit young people in BPP structures. I am personal haveing emotional attachment with BPP if they can sure seriousness and allow radical changes in BPP i will be the first to join in helping to rebrand BPP. 6) Mekoko ya BNF. If it was not for Muthimukhulo UDC could have won Gaborone South hands down 7) Motswaledis death. I have been reading posts and comments from bitter clowns that Loso la gagawe leba bareketse. I beg to differ if Motswaledi was alive i am sure his influence could have worked worders for UDC. After his death some of the followers panicked and some grow some fear and they hold on the campaigns they started. Now UDC needs to come up with an office that is capable of collecting information on the grounds and start now to prepare for 2019. If they can be so existing as they were i am one person who will be left with no choice but to embrace Change
