Why do Catholics like Cyndie Barnes, IGNORE scripture- and invent concepts like purgatory? ~ ~ ~ ~ We are made RIGHTEOUS through Christ~ The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. (Hebrews 9:22) Be shepherds of the church of God, which he (God) bought with his own blood. (Acts 20:28) ~ ~ ~ ~ God did not appoint us to suffer wrath - but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Th 5:9) ~ ~ ~ ~ HE was pierced for our transgressions, HE was crushed for our iniquities; The punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds WE ARE HEALED. (Isaiah 53:5) ~ ~ ~ ~ You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Cor 6:11) ***** Lets just believe the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:46, that there are TWO destinations, NOT THREE. And these shall go away into eternal punishment- but the righteous into eternal life. The RIGHTEOUS are those who have put their faith in Christ as savior. God made him who had no sin to be sin FOR US, so that in him we might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God (2 Cor 5:21) The same exact word in the Greek describes both conditions. Both are everlasting, eternal and ongoing.
