Why do people want to change our culture? Yes we have some very eloquent te reo māori female speakers, but why must they be given a chance to whaikōrero? That job is not for everybody, nor should we be allowing everybody the opportunity. Why wont wahine learn to karanga? Do people think it is that EASY? We as wahine have the hardest task as we have heaps to say, in the smallest amount of time. Do people go and tell the Queen how to run her culture? Would you go to Samoa and do the same? How about Japan, you going to go there and tell them how to do things too? Parliament, get the heck out of our tikanga and kawa....
