Why is Kenya Media practicing Yellow journalism in the name of South Sudan. Following recent circular by the ministry of Labor and Public Service, Republic of South Sudan, many irrational articles have been published by Kenya Media. Non of the media houses except Standard Newspaper has portrayed positivity on South Sudan. The yellow journalism practiced by the media institutions has no meaning as far as the circular is concerned. However, the circular requested for the right of South Sudanese to employment and rightly that is their right in their own country. I dont know how it affects Kenyans or Ugandans? The nationals of the two countries have taken it wrongly to the extent of hurdling insults on South Sudanese and their government. In this sense one is compelled to question the logic behind this commotion. Why are Kenyans not happy with the idea of South Sudanese getting jobs in their country? Why is Kenyan media talking of expulsion of Kenyans from South Sudan yet it isnt a part of recent circular? Can the media quote verbatim the expulsion circular or show physical beings of expelled Kenyans to the public? Whether South Sudanese are lazy or industrious, educated or illiterate it is none of Kenyans business. They have no right to fault South Sudanese from getting employed. Employing Kenyans isnt a priority for South Sudan. It is hospitality and not more than that. Even in Kenyan constitution there is no article quotable on employment in South Sudan and vice versa. Getting infuriated on this matter is nothing but a mere rhetoric. Most Kenyans shouldnt get offended by the idea instead they should first ask their fellow Kenyans in South Sudan to know whether they have been chased or not. Another thing is that South Sudanese dont come to Kenya for purposes of getting employed. They however come for purposes other than employment and clearly the Kenyan visa reads:Staying for more than 90 days requires registration and employment prohibited. South Sudanese have not done it in the Kenyan way instead they allowed Kenyans to enter South Sudan even without travel document leave alone passports. Kenyans work everywhere including in Government offices in South Sudan. They are in the market and hawking all the way to most rural parts of South Sudan. That isnt a constitutional right of Kenyans but since they are friendly neighbours they got the privilege of being allowed to take good jobs per their qualifications based on shared border and values. On Ugandans there is this to say: bilateral military Intervention in each others military aggression isnt something to be exchanged with employment. Our army Is until today in Gramba forest in search of most wanted Konyi. It is the SPLA soldiers that have suppressed wild Konyi and hence the freedom you are experiencing in Uganda prevailed for that reason. Recent presence of 3000 Ugandan forces in Juba airport isnt what can prompt you to curse South Sudanese. Lets coexist or expell all South Sudanese from your country. We have no right to curse any of our neighbouring countries for employing their nationals.
