Widespread Storms expected tomorrow (Friday) over QLDs Interior, - TopicsExpress

Widespread Storms expected tomorrow (Friday) over QLDs Interior, North and Central Coast bringing much needed Rain to the area. • A Surface Trough is extending from North-West QLD through Richmond and Emerald and then off the Central Coast near Rockhampton. This Surface Trough is drawing in Southerly Winds through SEQLD which is bringing with them a stabilising air mass. This air mass will push the Highly Unstable Air over to the Warrego & Maranoa, as well as through the Central Districts. While Northerly Winds will fuel an Unstable Atmosphere through North QLD. High Instability and High Moisture will combine to bring Heavy Storms through those regions. • Storms are likely to form in the late Morning/early Afternoon, pushing towards the East to South-East (South of Longreach) and East to North-East (North of Longreach). • General Storms are expected to be widespread and include at times Heavy Rain and Strong Winds. • SEVERE STORMS possible and are LIKELY to include Heavy Rain over much of the State, while Damaging Winds are also LIKELY between Richmond and Charleville. • Frequent Lightning is likely in the core of Storms tomorrow throughout QLD. • Rainfall totals could exceed 75mm, which is amazing news for our farmers in Central and Outback QLD under these Storms tomorrow • Widespread 3hr totals are in excess of 20mm between Charleville and Townsville. • Storms are likely to last well into the evening and continue to bring decent Rainfall totals. Remember.. IF ITS FLOODED, FORGET IT! Please be safe tomorrow. Also, remember... SEND HER DOWN HUEY!
