With Dads trek we had to watch what he was given by mouth, everything went thru his stomach tube. He could only have certain things and small amounts. Anything he wanted that he couldnt have hed send Peyton to get for him :) rather it was feeding Dad cleaning him ect Peyton was always right there helping with Papaw. The day before Dad passed I seen Peyton getting 2 Popsicles outta the freezer sneaking back to Dads room :) he was Papaws boy. Most that know me know I spent more time with Dad since his accident than I had my entire life. Ppl couldnt understand why I took on the responsibility of caring for him when hed never been there for me. Fact is he was still my Dad. And I couldnt leave him in his own when he needed someone the most. I thank God for the time he allowed me to get to know Dad, and for letting Dad get to know my family, his Grand kids ect. Never take for granted the time you have. Caring for him was a huge job that I couldnt have done at all without my family and friends. I miss you already Dad and Im so proud of how hard you fought since UR accident. He was in so much pain and miserable. I know Granny is happy to have his company and hes pain free know resting in peace.
