With Fender’s introduction of their “Pure Vintage” line of period specific / retro parts we have started customizing the included knob set of the ‘60s accessory kits with the dark green letters and numbers. With old or vintage knobs from many years ago this green coloration of the letters and numbers was a natural aging or oxidation effect of the original gold coloring that would change color with age, the gold would patina naturally to a dark green color. Our customized knob set is a simulation of the natural oxidation effect of the vintage knobs. This pure vintage accessory kit includes 3 pickup covers, tremolo arm tip, switch tip (shape specific to the ‘60s) and the customized knob set which it too is specific to the design used in the ‘60s where the numbers are slightly smaller than modern Strat knobs. This accessory kit color is what Fender calls “Vintage White” which basically amounts to a mint-green that is similar in color to the back plate included with Fender’s aged white accessory kit.
