With all the talk of new replacement parts failing prematurely (ignition condensers, etc) I thought Id add my own recent discoveries: The CV boots I installed *3 years ago* already have dry-rot cracks throughout them and are slinging grease after only 25k miles. I couldnt tell them apart from the 40 yr old ones on the other axle! In fact...they look WORSE than the old ones. Also, my 2 year old OEM FAG brand clutch slave cylinder is already leaking. WTF???? Anyone else have issues w CV boots...or a recommendation for known quality ones? Maybe I need to go Genuine BMW on these. What a shame that we no longer know how to produce rubber parts.
