With all the traveling Ive been doing, and my personal home flooding disaster in the beginning of summer, I havent really been able to fully enjoy cooking. Tonight I had the special treat of cooking for my friend Chef Scott. I made Arroz Imperial (Cuban grandmothers recipe) --and he said it was quote gourmet restaurant- worthy-- which I would have thought was a just a kind compliment from a host-- were it not to have been followed by, quote...you were probably not too cute in high school and had to develop the cooking skills, huh?
