With this activity we gave Christmas celebration a new meaning. The time we spent at Satkarm Orphanage in Badlapur with 21 kids was carefully utilized in enriching their overall development. In addition to celebrating Christmas and making this year end a fun filled time for them we also undertook a slew of other activities. Health Checkup: All the kids at the Satkarm Orphanage underwent a comprehensive health checkup conducted by Dr.Ami Thakkar The Doctor also provided some basic knowledge on the use of First Aid and what to do in case of a medical emergency. Tree Plantation: In our dual effort towards taking care of the environment and importantly making the next generation aware of its importance we also undertook a Tree Plantation drive with the participation of all the kids, wherein we planted a total of 50 Neem saplings in and around the Orphanage that would prove immensely useful for the kids in the days to come. Education Activity: In our own small way towards making the kids understand the importance of cleanliness and its effect on their health, we also did a small education activity wherein the idea of personal cleanliness and area cleanliness was conveyed through animated videos in an easy way. This event capped the first and a special year for us all at Vibgyor Foundation.
