Woodland Park was created in the early 1920s as a resort for African American tourists at a time when racial segregation was enforced throughout the country. It became a place unlike any other and attracted black intellectuals and celebrities from all over. Join us at the museum on September 3rd for a presentation from Woodland Park historian, Steve Jones, Jr., on this unique gem in northern Newaygo County.
