Would that I could tag my ex in this post so she could see it, but she would tell me that I am no good. This man right here stood up for all fathers who try to be in the lives of their children; the fathers who have done all they are supposed to do and more, the father who would lay down their lives for their children without hesitation; and said what all of us are trying to tell the rest of the world. Just because we have a penis doesnt mean we should be denied more time with our children. The mother *is not* always the best parent for the child to be with. If you believe that, then you are a sad, sad person. Why is it that my daughter with my ex has a Wii, DS, 3DS, and a crapton of Disney Infinity, but has trouble reading books, and cares more about what she getting for christmas? My children with my wife want books more than toys; they want to eat fruit more than candy/junk food; they would rather watch educational shows than SpongeBob; and cry when its time to come in from playing outside because they would rather play outside than watch TV. The two older ones are able to use ASL to communicate to us (parents) and each other (and my son is speech-delayed, so the ASL is a HUGE assist); and my youngest daughter is able to read chapter books meant for 10 year olds; knows her alphabet in ASL, English and French; can count beyond 100 in English - 10 in French//Spanish/ASL, and can say a few things in French (Hello/Good-bye - Thank You/Youre Welcome - How Are You - Cheese - Yes/No), and perhaps I should mention she turns 5 in November. While I am not saying my ex is a bad parent, I would dare to say that my 9 1/2 year old would be much better off with her father and step-mother. But in Ohio - the courts disagree.
