Wow. It has been a truly amazing week here in Scott County. We just want to give out a huge thank you to the fantastic volunteers from Memorial UMC and Centreville UMC! These guys worked hard every day of the week to make their familys homes warmer, safer, and drier and they even had a little fun along the way! And now, without further ado here is the progress update for week 4: Milk and Cookies: This week the crew at milk and cookies finished sealing the roof and conquered the fascia, soffit, and siding and even found time to install a new girder under the kitchen! Fossil Fuel: These guys skillfully navigated the treacherous foundation under the bedroom and installed a new girder, put in wall supports under the exterior wall and completely finished placing joists and floor covering! Dublin Mudslide: The crew at Dublin Mudslide this week expertly installed the insulation and siding and moved on to boxing in one side of the home, removing the old drafty window and installing and sealing a fresh new window! Tennessee Mud: At Tennessee Mud this week, the volunteers managed to install and finish drywall in the room addition as well as installing floor covering in it with the time they had left! Cow Power: What a week for Cow Power! The team here did a fantastic job installing a brand new porch on the back of the home in order to provide a safe second exit for the family and did two more sides of underpinning as well as worked on some trim and transition strips inside the home! Half-Baked: The volunteers did a superb job at Half Baked this week! They hung drywall all throughout the home this week, putting up sheet after sheet with ease! The transformation is so stunning the staff couldnt believe our eyes! And there it is folk!
