Wow...Mike Brown case and now the Eric Garner situation...theres really something wrong...I have to admit I grew up trying to be color blind and actually being upset with black ppl for making a fuss over everything and blaming everyone instead of taking responsibility. BUT then I went to an #HBCU and got a healthy education and perspective on my history. The topics discussed in class made me aware of institutional discrimination/racism but even greater making me proud of being an African American! With all the history and current and consistent problems...we are still here and standing! No these situations wont make me bitter, fearful, unforgiving, hateful, or vengeful...but I will be a voice for my generation...we wont be silenced! There is a more excellent way!
