Wow...the clock is ticking as I look forward to a new year in 15...I would have never guessed the direction my journey was about to encounter...there were many moments that I felt I was having an out of body experience...there were times that I thought I was dreaming...I knew I had built strength through a lifetime of trials and tribulations...and I called on that strength...it has served me well...I also underestimated the power of prayer...the connection with family, friends and complete strangers...the journey we call life isnt always the storybook we imagine...although...beyond my wildest dreams this diagnosis of MDS Cancer has blessed my life...I am stronger spiritually and mentally...the physical strength is building...I feel a calmness I do not recall ever feeling...I believe we have choices to use negative or positive energy...and I have chosen to focus on positive energy...as a result blessings have come from the craziest venues...the mind is a powerful underutilized phenomena...I will dig deeper, develop more intellectually, and focus on what matters in life...God has given me a platform that I take very seriously to make a difference in the lives I touch...I am also touched by those who I am privileged to share moments in time with no matter how long we are together...there is an innate good in people...I have learned (and still learning) to focus on the conversation (and not so much on my response)...When I ask a question...I wait for a response...I am not sure what 2015 will bring...I am not in control...I have had to let go (which was a tough lesson)...today is relevant...I am grateful to watch the calendar turn to a new year...there were times I wondered if my existence was in the cards...it is and I am better for it...I will never be perfect...I make mistakes...I ask forgiveness...I move forward...removing the clutter is gift to myself...walking my spiritual walk is where I find peace...writing and photography are healing to me...I am thankful for those of you on the journey with me...much love and the absolute richest of blessings in 2015...T
