YOUTH LOGICAL IDEAS WELFARE SOCIETY ACTIVITY REPORT Spread awareness among community members and work for cleaning and planting in prosperous. Youth Logical Ideas Welfare Society is a non-profit organization established by the young members of community, Shah Baig Lane Lyari Karachi. The organization has a team of volunteers who are committed to work for the betterment of their community. In this connection, they design their first activity named “Cleaning & Planting for PEACE” Youth Logical Ideas Welfare Society had planned an activity “Cleaning & Planting for PEACE” with the purpose to spread awareness regarding cleaning and planting among the community Firstly we work at Union Council 06 shah baig lane which is the largest UC of Lyari Town. We targeted 4 Blocks of Shah Baig Lane Lyari. First step, we implemented the activity in 2 blocks i.e. A & B. We had corner meeting in the area, in which we told the venerated members of the area that how to get secure from contaminated atmosphere as well as assured them to work for the activity They (members) of the area really appreciated this actually and suggested that one should to leads male and female to keep an eye on these activities and in every street we chose a male and female to protect activities and provide awareness. We surveyed all the streets of above mentioned blocks. The quantity of per home and daily usage of waste was counted. We have found that We had better provide each family 5KG dustbin. We visited all the streets and found slums and waste dumping and took snaps of those streets which were full of waste so that we could see what extent we were succeeded through this project and where we have to won further. They (members of the area) complained themselves wept and started telling that lack of staff as well as having no salary our staff stopped working door to door or street to street. But we (Youth Logical Ideas Welfare Society) have decided to work together and get limited for the sack of healthy environment. We made a plan to enquire people to throw the waste into the installed dustbin besides the other place and the municipality team on the time collect the garbage in initial step, we provided 23 streets and we provided the 1 which weight of 5KG and they were 70 and we made a plan to install 500 plants in the streets as well as main roads. We inaugurated this project on 14th of August with the help of our respected member of the area and the project was consisted for four steps and the first step was based on “General Cleaning”. Where 150 representatives of “Youth Logical Ideas Welfare Society” in accordance which town municipals health team. We provided hand bills and posters to homes so that they are supported to understand the value of cleaning and healthy environment. In 2nd step we painted those walls, which were spitted and written with Politian’s slogans which hawks people to fight with each other. The purpose of while wash is to alter the circumstances into good once. In the 3rd step, we divided 500KG dustbins so as they have to dump the garbage into the given dustbin and not throw them out side. In division of dustbins, they were strictly forbidden note throw the garbage out of their home and were provided awareness as well. In 4th steps, we installed plants on the main roads and also installed dustbins and we invited Abdul Rauf Deputy Director of Government Department of Environment and we were really very pleased with the arrival of this personality and he not only encouraged us but also survived us to work for prosperous.
