Years after recruiting terrorists & sending them to Syria Tunisian Minister of Interior Loutfi Ben Jeddo admits that more than 2400 Tunisian terrorists are fighting in Syria voicing deep concern over the return of those terrorists to Tunisia & pointing out that the evidence is the recent terrorist events in the province of Swa. Tunisian Interior Minister Loutfi Ben Jeddo has admitted that the number of Tunisians who have joined the armed groups in Syria exceed 2400. In a statement to the press yesterday evening the Tunisian Minister said the Tunisian authorities have banned between 8700 & 8800 Tunisians from traveling with the aim of joining the terrorist groups in Syria. Ben Jeddo said his country was watchful regarding any possible infiltration by terrorists into Tunisia & the travel of Tunisian youths to Syria. Ben Jeddo called on all national factions to unify efforts & cooperate against terrorism in Tunisia. Tunisia, it is to be noted, is currently witnessing an escalation in the phenomenon of extremism & the growth of Jihadist thought due to the current government’s policy in support of the armed groups in Syria. Meanwhile a Tunisian terrorist Al-Zahed Bou Hasan was reported by a newspaper as having been killed by the Syrian Arab army while fighting Takfiris in Jobar in Damascus countryside. Moreover Al-Tounisiyyah daily said in its issue today that 2 Tunisians carrying French nationality have been detained by the French security forces in Nimm province on the charge of belonging to a terrorist cell. A Tunisian woman was also put under judicial supervision on the charge of belonging to a terrorist gang. They will all be referred to trial on the 4th of next July at the Paris Criminal Court. The cases are part of 55 similar cases that cover 300 persons accused of belonging to Jihadist cells in Syria.
