Yep, we always focus on the bad and ugly rather than the good. We tend to villainize individuals and then wonder why they lash out. Because they are defending themselves against a majority that decided mobalize in a wave of negativity against them. In my eyes, you are at their mercy. So for example, if the sports media is complaining about Jay Cutler being moody with them, maybe they should consider treating him nicely and stop asking silly questions. Their advantage is that they write columns full of half truths, detailing how mean and ugly Cutler and some of these athletes are. Now Twitter and Facebook have created flatter ground, however media always has the advantage over players because of nonsensical fan stereotypes. Celebration or ridicule of a particular individual is only possible with either media cheer leading or hate mongering. Consider this the next time the media is in cahoots about certain individuals.
