Yesterday I got to deliver a two hour massage. There was a storm outside so we could hear the sound of rain on the windows and occasional thunder off in the distance. The treatment room was dark with muted light from the heavy clouds outside. Soft acoustic guitar music was playing in the background. I thought about how enjoyably perfect it would be to be receiving a massage in that setting. Then I realized just how blessed I am that I get to be the one delivering that massage, making that experience for that person. Hopefully the massage and the facial and pedicure that followed made a great birthday memory for her.
