Yesterday is part one of todays part two. Went on my bike as usually to head over to the Tauranga habour. It is always an adventure in the travelling. I have to go down a big hill on my street, so there is speed. Who doesnt like speed? Oh and possible danger. Then there is crossing the main road. No cops so lots of fast cars at that time of the day. Who wants to rush off to work, unless youre late. Anyway diverting here. Next exciting part is the timing of the bind spot on the path under the train bridge. Do I go now fast or slow with caution. Floor it an hope for the best. Now the most exciting part is this bridge that is made out of aluminium, has a ramp to start climbing upwards. Is narrow and turns into a maze type zigzag challenge. Oh and people obstacle add more to it. Other cyclist that walk it and yeah walkers. I can nearly do it without stopping. Then last part is downwards. After that the fun is over. It is truly a different world, the habour compared to suburbia and town. Any where new is always exciting. Now on arrival a security gate must be entered with a code. Gate just magically opened by itself. Looked around, no one playing games or being nice. Rid in and parked the bike with lock wrapped around it. Thru 2nd security door after code. So many ropes to walk over when the jetty is full. Worked hard and arrive to get bike to leave and hello, locks here, but wheres the bike. It had been nicked! Patrick offered his bike, but I declined. Glenn offered a ride, but was in a hurry to leave there an then. I followed a guy to look at cameras footage to find who took the bike. Was told security camera not working. Not good council. So the helpful old guy offered a ride and tells me some of his property had been stolen off his boat two weeks ago. Turned out the old fellow was a 5th generation fisherman. He was nice company for a stranger. Yes folks it didnt darn on me that I had taken a ride from a stranger. Though I did judge him for his actions, not words. He was like a dad figure, so helpful. Came in and helped fill police report. But wait he took me around the street incase we see the bike. I said to him, sorry forgot the Angels name. What do you say when you appropriate them? Man my heart was on excite mode. He said, I believe that is not yours... Then what deck them or chase them? Lol. Anyway the Angel dropped me off and I said thank you so much for your time, see you around. Mum was first port of call. Told her and then had to ask to borrow her bike. Good old mum!
