Yesterday morning I sat in bed writing the post about critics that I shared with you all, and I had the blinds open looking outside as I typed. The most beautiful large white fluffy snowflakes were falling from the sky. They were falling in what looked like slow motion, so very slow. So peaceful. My mind went to this song that Im sharing below. It was just a quick thought (I have MAJOR squirrel moments...thats what I call them, Im easily distracted, and YES there is an oil for that)...ANYWAY, later in the day as I was cleaning the house, I was thinking of that snowfall and how peaceful it was, and how its so like the Lord, how there are times he just gently covers you with his peace, I guess its hard to put into words what that looks like, but this snowfall is what I think of as a visual image when I think of Him bringing peace....WELL, Jer had some music playing as we were cleaning the house and THIS SONG CAME ON. I FREAKED OUT. I LOVE THIS SONG, I HAD JUST BEEN THINKING OF THIS SONG. I think I screamed out OH MY GOODNESS, THIS SONG....to which Jer replies....I was JUST thinking of it and downloaded it....UMMMMMMM. THIS SONG, it is one of my MOST FAVORITE Christmas songs. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. My prayer is that in a season that we all think should be Merry and Bright, the truth is it is NOT Merry and Bright for many people, many who may even be reading this. Maybe Christmas is a season that brings hurt this year because there has been a loss of a loved one. Maybe financially you are struggling, and the thought of the expectations of giving and doing what we THINK comes with a typical Christmas is just not within your reach this year. Maybe its just you have been running around like crazy, trying to get all the parties in, all the gifts bought, and what should be Merry and Bright is Crazy and Stressful. Whatever this season brings for you, I pray that you experience HIS peace. Just like that gentle snowfall I watched, let it slowly fall and cover you, just like what this song speaks of.
