You get exactly what you vote for....Alberta has voted for cutting revenue from the Oil Industry for 40 years...The race to the bottom economic policies of Conservative Governments eventually even in Oil rich jurisdictions like Alberta find their way to the bottom....What will Jim Prentices plan be going forward ...cut more revenue in an effort to attract more resource extraction, a Conservative more for less approach, and then cut services to their citizens all the while telling them what good fiscal managers they are in these economic tough times... After running their Governments on deficit and shoestring budgets for pretty much ALL the last decade when oil was hovering near all-time highs...you would think Albertans would wake up and ask a few questions on what 40 years of Conservative fiscal management has got them? Maybe Albertans should look back in time and see where Conservatism has come from and ask themselves is this really the Conservatism they think they have....It is too bad Albertans didnt listen to former Premier Peter Lougheed perhaps they would have something to show for their Oil Industry today!
