You know those plot twists in the story of life that change - TopicsExpress

You know those plot twists in the story of life that change everything? Those unexpected gut busters that knock us down, kick us in the stomach and leave us wondering what in the world just happened. Yea. I may have had a couple of those this year. They were not part of the plan. It has been four years since the seeds of BLOOM were planted. Four years of learning hard lessons about leadership and capacity. Four beautiful years of watching women grow in relationship with God and one another. Four years of being blessed to get to know and love each of you. I have made mistakes (blush-please, be kind). I have had to withdraw and refocus and for most of the past year the needs of my immediate family have been all consuming. But finally, after months of hard work and painful sacrifice I am beginning to see the harvest. A sustainable rhythm is emerging that gives me hope. Hope that we will once again be able to enjoy one anothers company. Hope that God isnt finished with me yet. Hope that He who has begun a good work in me will complete it. Hope that you will stay on this wild journey of messy faith with me. I can promise it will look nothing like what I dreamed it would all those years ago. God has a way of humbling and pruning away whatever does not bear fruit. But one thing I do know...Isaiah 61:1-3 is as true today as it was then. “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” I think its time to BLOOM again.
