Zaatar Lebanese Crispy Bread Ingredients: 4 rounds Lebanese bread 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons zaatar (see note) NOTE: Crisps can be made up to two days ahead and stored in an airtight container. Directions: Preheat oven to moderately hot 325 degrees Brush bread with oil, sprinkle evenly with the zaatar. Cut each piece of bread into 12 wedges. Bake for about 8 minutes or until browned lightly and crisp. Not suitable to freeze or microwave. Zaatar is a dried herb blend available from specialty spice stores and Middle Eastern supermarkets. You can make your own by combining 1½ tablespoons crushed dried thyme leaves with 2 teaspoons sumac, 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds and ½ teaspoon salt.
