Zombie 5K Run October 25 The Emporia Police Department Benefit Assoc. is hosting a Zombie 5K run on Oct. 25th. Registration starts at 6 p.m., and the run starts at 7 p.m. The starting and ending point is at the Brickyard (4th and Commercial / Merchant St). The Brickyard will be hosting a haunted house that night as well. Registration fee is $30. Pre-registration is recommended to guarantee shirt size and color (due by October 10th). Registration forms can be found on the Emporia Police Benefit Board Facebook page (https://facebook/EmporiaPoliceDepartmentBenefitAssociation?ref=ts&fref=ts) , the Emporia Police Department Facebook page (https://facebook/EmporiaPolice?fref=ts), at the Police Department, and at various businesses in town. There will be shirts on-site the day of the run for anyone who did not get their registration in by the 10th, but sizes and colors cannot be guaranteed. Non-participants can also purchase shirts by pre-order (Oct 10th deadline) or the day of the race for $20. The Emporia Police Department Benefit Assoc. is a non-profit organization comprised of current and retired employees of the Emporia Police Department. Our goal is to raise funds to help youth and other programs in our community.
