a young monk went to the abbot and told him he doesnt get it anymore with the routine life style and prayers. the abbot told him to go down to the basement and get three baskets which where very dusty,and he did.abbot told him to take the 3 baskets to the river and fetch water with them, he went dipped them in the river and came back, the abbot told him go with 2 only and repeat what u did, he went and came back,abbot told him ok go with one only and repeat what you did many times which he did and came back. so the abbot asked him among the 3 baskets which is the neatest he said the 3rd because i dipped it many times. abbot told him that is how it is with routine prayers it might not make much sense to you but at the long run it purifies you and gets results keep praying without losing hope
