at the request of some family here is Moms {Catherine } choc sheet cake recipe. 3 cups flour 3 cups sugar 3/4 tsp. salt Sift together in bowl micro or boil 1 1/2 cups oleo/or butter 1 cup water 5 tbls. cocoa powder I another bowl beat 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 cup butter milk {can be made by adding 1 tbls vinegar to rest milk until you have 3/4 cup} 1/2 tsp. vanilla put flour mixture in mixing bowl and alternate cocoa mixture and egg mixture while beating until all ingredients are mixed . It will be very thin. pour into greased and floured or { use baking spray } sheet cake pan. bake 350% for 25 min or until tooth pic is dry. Frosting 1/2cup Oleo or butter 3 tbls. cocoa powder 6 tbls milk Microwave until well blended. I do it 60 sec then stir if not it might burn in micro. add 1 box 16oz. powdered sugar 1/2 tsp. vanilla mix well . frost cake while it is hot . be sure it is where you can wipe up excess frosting as it does run over edges but it also melts into cake. Option is you can sprinkle nuts over the top. It is a very easy fast cake and is done in less than an hour . enjoy all hugs to ya
