by Box Office India (November 15, 2014) We all know that Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut film Kick was partly shot in Poland, and the Polish audience has finally watched the movie as it premiered on November 7. Kick is the first Salman Khan-starrer to release in Poland, which has never really experienced a Bollywood release of this grandeur. The premiere took place at the historical Cinema Muranow in Warsaw. For the grand premiere, a Polish dance troupe performed an Indian dance before the screening began. And cinemas were reported to be house full for every show in Warsaw, Lublin, Łódź and Kraków. The movie will also release in other cities such as Wroclaw and Poznan, shortly. Deputy Mayor of Warsaw Michal Olszewski said, “Warsaw in the movie Kick played itself and presented itself as an attractive, modern, dynamic city. We are pleased that this image reaches millions of viewers with wide distribution both in India and Poland. For the Polish audience, Warsaw’s role in the film becomes an incentive to watch the film, and thus the knowledge and interest in Indian cinema. Production cooperation projects on such a large scale, which was the production of the film Kick, proved to be a success and, hopefully will encourage the film industry to pursue further artistic projects in our city.” According to reports, Kick is enjoying a successful run in all cinemas and one can safely say the film has revived Hindi cinema in Poland while taking it a notch higher.
