dont wanna be all low n depressing but does anyone see that 90% of funny cute or adorable videos of animals are usually - if you were to analyse why that animal is behaving in that way, because theyve gone insane? awww look at this budgie its banging it;s head against the window awww look at this rabbit (in a small cage) running round in circles, so cute awwww this dog in a cage on a treadmill awwww the dolphin in captivity is dancing with me! awww this obese dog with probable health problems is watching the TV cos we never walk him. He so funny awww this PET baby monkey is stuck in the bath and cant get out so swims round in circles awww this goat is trying to defend its young, its terrified so makes a funny sounds, lets film! Is it just me? Am i being too serious? I look at half these videos and think vulnerable animal with no choices I saw a video of a kid holding an iguana by the neck and repeatedly slapping its springy like head and it was being shared as something adorable..... is that...? do we not...? I just dont find it cute. Whilst some people smile and saw awwww i feel like im watching a cruelty awareness clip... Dont get me wrong, with cats and dogs i do believe its different because i have a dog and have had cats and i genuinley see them doing silly and hilarious things of their own accords and they are unfortunatley lovingly domestic, we leave our back door open and the dog sits in the yard, he could escape but he doesnt. The cats always come back for food etc whilst still hunting and adventuring...... theyre somewhat free and very loved, plus respected as animals not just as pets. I don;t feel any guilt or shame there. But caging animals so they cant get out is surely trapping something? Im going off point now oooooops x
