got a couple of messages whining about common core. in two instances the messages had a similiar format: i am a phd or a bs in engineering and i cant help my child with a homewok problem. and the problem is shown. i am brain-damaged with a ma and quickly see they are a simplified introduction to partial sums and solve the problem in about five minutes. partial sums like in differential equations. back when i was an engineering major, differential equations was a basic requirement. has engineerind so deteriorated? conseratives whine about the u.s. falling behind in technology and presented with a method to get back ahead, they complain?
