had a lovely surprise visit the other day by an old friend - john amirault, whose wife works on the floor i am on. wonderful catching up with him. today, another surprise - carol spohler, a lady from church who brought me a granola and fruit yogurt. shortly after she arrived, Mary Savoie came for a visit bearing a ton of good food that i can keep in the fridge here - chef salad, fruit cup, apples and yogurt dip, and some mini canolis! i am set! we all had a wonderful time. eventually hubby came and we chatted some more- nice to be thought of. if you have a family member in a nursing home, please take the time ti visit them, this as been such an eye opening time for me. so many are left here and you can see the sadness on their faces. i have decided to live up to my old nickname sunshine and try to spread a little to those less fortunate while i am here
