hey all recently i posted about my Hillman hunter overheating. the car had sat for two years with a blown head. i bought it and had it fixed. despite a new gasket and a bunch of other stuff it still overheated on runs over 20 or so minutes at speed. this was frustrating .i got some goood advice here, so thanks. Finally i solved the issue. I flushed the cooling system several times and out came hot chocolate , every time. so i guessed it was a dusty film of rust and the like lining the system and stopping proper dissipation of heat. I bought a 5 litre tub of the terribly named evapo-rustpoured it in and ran it for 10 days. after day 2 it was already recovering better. i emptied out the brown soup after ten days and i now have a car with no overheating issues at all. thanks everyone for the advice i received .
