i cant take credit for the profundity of this idea... ive heard it for a long time, and a fb friend of mine posted it the other day... but i just want to say how true it is that theres a spiritual parallel between what junk food does to our bodies, and what spiritual junk does to our spirit. its been made even more real to me after seeing how much this paleo diet is helping Jon. joel osteens spiritual cotton candy (for example) is poisonous to your soul. our society shoves processed, refined, chemically-treated, and genetically modified foods down our throat... foods God did not create. by the same token, this modern-day apostate church is watering-down, processing, and modifying the Word of God. its up to us to seek out pure food, both physically and spiritually. so thats whats on my mind as i stand in the kitchen boiling jon some fresh farm eggs to chop in a salad, sautéing some squash in walnut oil, and putting a free-range chicken in the crockpot.
