just had an encounter this morning from d story of d prodigal son. Wat God wants is a relationship with us n not just keeping rules. The elder brother was just busy keeping rules n never had a relationship with his father. He did not knw d heart of his father n his unreserved love for him. Until u understand dat d love of God for u as a xtian does nt depend on ur keeping of rules u might live a frustrated life trying to get d approval of God through rule keeping. The love of God is unconditional, it is a mystery, it is amazing, it is so divine. Wat God demands from u is ur heart more than ur work. I can hear d voice of God saying to u, my son, my daughter all i nid is ur heart, i love u so much n i want to hv a relationship with u. Will u cease from a life if self righteous n religious activity n embrace d love of God. I tell u He will hold u tight on His chest n kiss ur forehead with tears in His eyes n whisper gentle in ur eyes welcome home my son/daughter, i hv really longed for a moment like this.
