my interest in visiting ancient temples is to see their architecture. they are all marvellous; whether it is Madurai Meenakshi or Kanchi Kamakshi or Hindupur lepakshi; the temples at Belur or Helebeedu. they are all work of very creative minds. No cement, no steel, no big machines were used to build them. only mind and muscles created these world class monuments/heritages! hard to duplicate with our modern technology. looking at them i get lost in thinking. where have they all gone? the creators of these masterpieces. Who let them vanish? as a biologist i think the genes have not vanished. they are hidden somewhere in our population. i am hopeful, some day they will find an expression and we may be back in to the glorious future! -----Prof. Bhaskar Joshi------
