received news this morning that put a hole in my heart. My family and I lost a relative today, a great man and mentor to me, almost like a second father in a way. I dont want to get into who and where and why. I do want to say thank you for always finding time for me. thank you for returning my calls and for your advice when I was having a tough day. thank you for your wisdom and how to handle certain things that hit you in life. On the lighter side, thank you for the many times you talked music with me and taught me about bands that I still listen to today. Thank you for teaching me guitar and having the patience to listen when I knew deep down I wasnt very good at it. I loved sitting at the kitchen table and just listening to songs on your ipod with you and talking about the different bands. Mostly though, thanks for always welcoming me in your home when I would visit and making me feel special and loved. I could go on and on but words can only say so much. Whoever is reading this, hold the ones you love close to you. Time goes quick, and its a really special thing to come across those few people that truly love you in this lifetime.
