so, had a great time and fantastic lunch- thanks to our Thai vazhi iyarkkai unavu boys:-) 1st thing on the 1st day of Jan2015!! nice crowd, beautiful weather, conversations, organic food, herbal juices.. it was all flowing.. the new centre at 38, Besant Avenue, adayar for Organic Farmers market and Tula India was opened.. and did u know? the whole place is full of begged and borrowed stuff.. all furnitures, utensils, chairs, boards, curtains, cloth hangers incl gas stove to all props have been given..all used to be reused or upcycled! infact just the bulk bins (to sell the grains plastic free) were bought..(didnt have time enough to beg) infact what attracted all eyes was the beautiful dark brown furnitures in the Tula show room came from 5 different sweet hearts! can u believe it? what a feeling it is to have made up a whole 2 floors with stuff recycled! come over, see it to believe it! oh! even mosquito nets and curtain rods were pulled out from used/thrown stuff.. and to think that everything was done by our own hands..The OFM boys all were up till 3am on 31st and we had the new office ready in the best way possible.. and now on to participatory consumption and more.. come, chat, participate..u can do lots..volunteer, enjoy, contribute.. Mondays- Volunteer in OFM activities, Tula activities, accounts, etc * Tuesdays – Bus days; show ur bus ticket and * Wednesdays- Sapling days: 11am- 4pm. Bring old used plastic covers with half filled soil. Here at OFM fill with more compost and grow a sapling.* Thursdays - Volunteer for the veggies and bulk vending * Fridays – *.*cycle day: Bring old papers and make paper bags at OFM, anything meaningful that you would like to freecycle, upcycle, recycle. * Saturdays - TGIS! just come..relax..lets talk, converse, exchange. so lots to do- together!
