some peoples idea of being empathetic are really so unexpected that one does not know how to react to it - like this person I know who lived in Paris, a die hard fashionista, and guilty pangs each time she saw ads of children dying of hunger on the TV, her reaction was : OMG ! I will not buy these shoes from this brand because they are made in Bangladesh ! ... this is so awful, how can poor people who dont wear such shoes made such ones ?? this is surely a cheat. I have to boycott it. Next, she buys the perfect looking and fitting pair of shoes at an enormous price and says: now ! this is perfect. They know how to make shoes. The label read : MADE IN CHINA We all know the history of shoes by chinese ... how they bound the womens feet which ended in painful atrophies They say it is all to do with Culture and Perception.
