*tears in the rain, hannibal finale edition :3 Alone, this music speaks of hope, divinity, and redemption. But it was set against a scene that spoke only of brutality and betrayal. That contrast, I think, is what makes the scene so gut-wrenching. Together, they invoke something more deep and primal than sorrow. Together they speak of the loss of things that were, and could have been. The destruction of hope that had never fully materialized, but was still clung onto. Of love that was doomed from the start. Without the music, I dont think this Greek tragedy of a finale could have existed. I hate you, Bryan Fuller.
