this week saw the angel look to extend thier unbeaten run to 6 games with an away tie to pontypridd town. due to international call ups and lazy bastards (most notably yarden ahron and jamie harper) the angel could only field 8 players. two of which were making thier debuts captain carwyn thomas and striker kelvyn davies. 1st half the game started with the angel being put under pressure but managing to hold out their opponents due to shit crossing. the first real chance of the game fell to ponty with their striker being put in on goal only for manager gavyn hegarty to deny him a shooting oppurtunitie with a last ditch sliding tackle. the half drew to a close without any side making out any chances. 2nd half the second half started in similar fashion to the first with ponty putting the angel under pressure from the off which resulted in them taking the first goal of the game. this was the kickstart the angel needed with jordan harding getting more of the ball and starting to pull the strings in midfield and captain carwyn thomas putting in the hard yards and crunching tackles. the front two of laurence pritchard and kelvyn davies were starting to link up alot more aswell. the back three of scott hagerty gavyn hegarty and konnor batt were more than holding their own against a much lively ponty attack. then in the 72nd minute a corner from carwyn thomas failed to beat the first man which resulted in ponty breaking away to score their second of the game. this resulted in captain carwyn thomas giving a rallying call to his troops. with gavyn hegarty being pushed upfront the angel wer starting to cause ponty more problems with their fluent football theyr known for around the rhymney valley. then in the 81st minute the breakthrough came, a surging run from jordan harding resulted in him taking a pop from thirty yards which the keeper parryied it into the path of laurence pritchard who tapped in from close range to take his tally to 5 for the season.with the game drawing to a close a brilliant piece of composure from ballon dor nominee gavyn hegarty drew the game level. it was jordan harding once again bursting from midfield to cross for the unmarked gavyn hegarty who cooly slotted home from 16 yards. this resulted in mass celebrations from players staff and fans. pontypridd town 2-2 then angel inn this coming week sees the angel away once again due to redevelopments of their home ground to western bush. players to meet 945 outside cross.
