today must be an unimaginably difficult day for megs family. i find myself consumed with thoughts about them. i had an idea that i think would keep the meg soles of love initiative going beyond the structure and keep the spirit of love flowing to those who need it. as runners, we all have old running shoes that serve no purpose but to clutter our closets. the meg soles of love idea would be to grab a pair of those old running shoes and put an envelope w/ $5, $20, $100, $500 or whatever you can give in one of the shoes. you can add a personal note if you want and maybe stuff a sock in the shoe to ensure the envelope doesnt fall out. bring the running shoes to a clothing donation bin or charity clothing drop-off. those shoes will reach someone who just needs a break, a little love and to know someone cares about them. if we all do this and continue to do this through our lifetime, we will positively touch the hearts of hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of people. i love you all. sending a big hug to all the people who experience sadness on mothers day. #megsmiles
