woke up this morning with the horrible news of more killing. -did you see the news, i asked michal? -yes.... no comment had to rush to the university. on the way more information, more details, names, places At school i wanted to raise the subject with my students…but i didn t, we talk about everything but the news. it s like nobody had anything to add on the subject, it s like it s so hard, you just want to forget about it, to keep on, to pretend it s not there. after school i was schedule to give an interview on i24 news. the subject : Peace. The news station is buzzing. huge screens names of the victims, police, shooting…a producer is running in -At 19:00 bibi is giving a press conference, i want everybody ready On the screen faces of the terrorists, their houses, their families. somebody is talking on cnn, someone on al jazzera, i recognize Yair Lapid, Abu Mazen. Strange feeling to be here to talk about Peace -you ready? the french producer is asking -sure but of course i m not….what can i possibly have to say about peace on a day like this…. on a day like this you want to blame someone, you want revenge. you want more blood. that how it works. blood to wash the blood People around me are almost dancing, it s a choreography, orchestrating the news, feeding on the dead bodies, special interview with a minister, breaking news from the crime scene, special envoy for the ME commenting.......the circle 5, 4 ,3 ,2 ,1...and...your ON So with all the energy i can find on a day like this i went on air and talk about Peace, explaining why peace is the only alternative to this madness. breaking the circle is the only possible way for a future. Finding those sane voices in the dark that still believe, are the only breaking news Peace is to remind ourselves that they are good people on both side. Peace on a day like this, is to go to a friend from the other side, start a conversation and say..i m sorry. i m with you. i feel your pain, we will make it. together. Peace on a day like this one is to state one more time, like a crazy person in the dark.....WE YOU
