Employers are always looking for the man or woman who does a better job or more than whats customary, whether its wrapping up the package or wrapping up the sale. Some people get it and some dont. Randy Pausch, who wrote The Last Lecture, got it before he left. As a customer we like to feel good after we make a purchase. Sometimes its more than just the purchase , its also the buying experience. If you enjoyed the experience its likely you will shop there again. The internet is a little less personal because you cant get to experience the all of the persons personality which is the sum total of their characteristics and appearances which distinguish them from all others. You may not see the cloths, the smile, and the tone of voice which is a true indication of the inner character. However if you follow them through a blog you may get an inside peek into their mind and soul. On the internet and in real life people want value. When the value is great enough the more likely the person is to buy. David Wood is a master story teller. He earned a winning personality after many years of trial and error. I remember the first time I saw him. He went on and on and I kept listening because I was looking for something. I knew I needed a change. Are you looking for a change? A pleasing personality can be developed but the person must be willing to put in the time and the effort. A rookie salesman went in to see a artist and became interested in his art. They talked about his art for about an hour before the artist asked why he was there. The rookie told his about his product and the artist bought. He told him that he had been approached by others but all they did was pitch him. The rookie approached him differently. The rookie took the time and sold him on his personality. If you have a product or a service to offer you can also blog. But you must be committed. Talk about things you like and you will draw to yourself, people of the same mind set. When you are true to yourself it will come through to others. When you try to please everyone, you please no one. Cheap flattery will not take the place of of genuine interest. If you write about something that interest you, you will continue long after others have stopped. The retail clerk with the nasty attitude can only work for so long before they run into the wrong customer. It takes a special person to deal with people during the holiday season. Rude customers are everywhere but the up front people must be able to deal with them. The biggest hiring season is usually around this time of the year. Many people will take the job because of the money, but they hate the working conditions which is reflected in their personality. If you want to have extra money why not start a part time business. Treat yourself to a business over the holidays. You can become a go between the toy manufacturer and the customer. You can become a wholesaler or distributor. You can earn a commission from a host of on-line companies. Your friends and family would take your recommendation for a product if they thought they were getting a good deal. If you have an entrepreneurial mind set you will began to look for a way. The franchise model has proven to be a highly successful model. Ray Kroc became the all time franchise king when he bought out the McDonald’s brothers. Too many think the success is based on just burgers and fries but its the whole system of duplication which starts with real estate. You have a chance to set up your real estate on the internet.
