Today we’re going to present our Astronomy project , the spy satellite .For our model , it made to be like one of the Russia spy satellite that have been crash back to Earth in the beginning of this year. OK. Let’s go for the history of this space technology. So , as everyone knows , the satellites are commonly use for communication , weather predicting , navigation , scientific mission or even for military cause like the one we represent to you today. The first satellite that have been launch to space is the “Sputnik” by the Soviet Union in 1957 to observe the radiation of the ionosphere . Afterward a thousand of satellite have been launch to space for many other reason as like we have said before , many of them orbit around the Earth some of them launch to orbit on other plants such as Moon ,Venus , Mars , Jupiter ,Mercury or even the Sun for observation and scientific mission. Now on ,there were about 3,600 satellite still orbit around our Earth. And now let come a little closer back to our project, the spy satellite or in the other name of “reconnaissance satellite”. Like it’s own name , it is one of the military type of satellite . It’s can easily divide into 4 kind by their mission and duty : - High resolution photography (IMINT) - Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT) - Communication eavesdropping (SIGINT) - Monitoring of nuclear test and detect missile launch And the one that have been used the most is the high resolution photography. The four type of spy satellite could use for many propose such as high resolution photography for observe the enemy base , war field , or opponent army when you’re in wars. Communication eavesdropping when you need to stealth your enemy secret data or information that could give your side an upper hand card. Monitoring of nuclear test or detect missile launching before it’s explode your camp. Finding person that have ban in the blacklist or wanted list for the army. Detecting suspicious plane or object that invade into our boundary that might be harmful to our army in next few minute. Intercepts the radio wave to cut off the opponent communication. On the other hand, spy satellite can also be used by other organization too. Before , the department of marine resources have been use the spy satellite for survey the migration of aquatic mammal. So, how can this satellite be useful to our humankind? First of all, you can detect any of the movement of the terrorist that might transporting deathly weapon secretly somewhere in this world and arrest them before they can be dangerous to your country. When some country get attack by nature disaster and all the communication get cut out , the spy satellite can still be use to see all the damage that happen and quickly help them. Also , it can warn us to leave the place near the volcano when it’s going to be interrupt. Thank you for listening to our presentation.
