하나님은 좋으신 분이십니다. 저의 사역지로 인해 동부에서 서부로 온 가족이 함께 가야했지요. 아이들에게 어떻게 이야기를 하나하고 아내와 많이 고민했는데.... 아이들 모두 흔쾌히 아빠와 엄마의 상황을 이해하고 따라주었습니다. 특히 하빈이는 Fairfax, Va에 친구들뿐 아니라, 학교 야구팀도 떠나야했는데... 오히려 아빠인 저를 이해하고 격려해주었습니다. 하나님은 그런 하빈이에게 켈리포니아, 아니 전미에서 최고의 고등학교 야구팀에 함께 할 수 있는 기회를 주셨습니다. 하빈이 학교인 College Park HS 야구팀은 2014년 캘리포니아주에서 2위, 북가주에서 1위, 전미 13위에 랭크된 팀입니다. (참고로 미국 전역 고등학교 야구팀이 약 2만개 정도는 되는 것으로 알고 있습니다.) 지금은 현재 그 학교 감독이 off season에 운영하고 있는 Lamorinda Showcase basebal 팀에 8월중순부터 함께 참여해서 경기를 뛰고 있습니다. 이곳에서도 감독과 코치로부터 많은 것을 배우고 있습니다. 짧은 기간임에도 하빈이가 이 팀을 통해 많이 성장하고 있는 것 같습니다. 저와 아내의 바램은 내년 봄학기 College Park HS Baseball 팀을 통해서도 더 많이 성장해서, 하빈이가 꿈꾸는 대로 자신의 꿈을 이루어 가기를 기대합니다. 하나님께서는 지금까지 저의 목회에 많은 복을 주시고 은혜를 주신 것 처럼, 동일하게 하빈이에게도 야구를 통해 많은 은혜와 복을 주시는 것 같습니다. 하나님은 공평하신 분이십니다. ABOUT COLLEGE PARK BASEBALL The 2015 College Park baseball team will return seven starters from the 2014 Championship team. Many of the players began playing baseball together when they were just seven or eight years old with the Pleasant Hill Baseball Association. Several of them continued playing together at Lamorinda Baseball Club en route to obtaining a roster spot on the College Park High School baseball team. The class of 2015 has big goals to repeat their DVAL and NCS Championship wins. This year the team will be playing in the D1 section so hope to dominate that section as well. The College Park Baseball team is the defending 2014 Diablo Valley Athletic League and North Coast Section Champion with a record of 27-3.
