Check it out if you havent read it yet.*-- Lillian is back on the 4th floor HEMOC Ward. YAY!! Its much more fun up here. There is a playroom and an art room and she can leave her room occasionally if her blood counts are high enough. She slept through the night last night with pain being controlled by Morphine but she shouldnt need it too much longer. Lilli is able to use the G (gastric) tube beginning today for medications possibly even food if she can tolerate it. Today she will begin (again) a PT/OT regimen to regain the strength in her ankles and knees to crawl, stand and walk. Shes doing great at sitting up unassisted! There is still a lot of work for her to do toward complete rehab and its going to be hard. Her lungs and the gunk in them continue to be her weakest link toward complete health. If she is on your prayer list, please make that your request of our Lord, the Great Physician. And if you dont pray (not that we keep tabs) please keep her in your thoughts for improved lung function. We are always thankful to all of you for your continued good thoughts and prayers. We are thankful for the fact that she has finished the 2nd round of chemo and has had no fevers. We are hopeful she will not have any. Oh, Im in such a hurry to get back to her room I cant believe I almost forgot to mention the happiest moments this past week! ***She received a speaker aka passy-muir valve to speak and we have heard her voice! It had been 2.5 months since she said her last words. ***I got to hold her in my arms for the first time since we went to the ER at the US Hosp in Naples, IT on 1 May, 2014.
