-Sue Snell was not pregnant. She thought she might be for like, a few days but wasnt. I dont know why they felt they needed to make her pregnant in the movie. -Carrie doesnt break a water cooler. She pushes a small paperweight off of the principals desk when he calls her Cassie. -Carrie walks home and pushes the boy riding his bike over when he calls her Creepy Carrie, not Scary Carrie. -Carrie didnt lock her mom in the closet -Ms.White was not a masochist. -Carrie is supposed to be chubby with lots of acne. I know they wouldnt use a chubby acnefied actress, but.. I dont know Im being nit picky. -440 people died on prom night. The movie made it seem like it was a couple dozen. This event made Chamberlain High a ghost town, and was a massive national tragedy. -Carrie doesnt hang her mom up like Jesus with scissors. She just stops her heart. -Desjardin kind of hates Carrie. The movie made it seem like they were all buddy buddy, but King made it very clear in the book that Carrie was not her favorite person and she annoyed her sometimes. -THEY DIDNT USE THE SAME POEM OH MY GOSH THE POEM WAS SO IMPORTANT AND THEY DIDNT USE IT AT ALL I DONT EVEN THE POEM WAS PERFECT I DONT KNOW WHY THEY FELT THEY NEEDED TO CHANGE IT Sorry. Im such a snob, but the movie bugged me. Im not normally like this with movie adaptations but Ive been looking forward to this for a long time. And Im not really disappointed, I knew it wouldnt be perfect. Im sure I would have really enjoyed it If I havent read the book so many times and seen the other movie adaptations dozens of times a piece. It was fun to watch, its the only midnight premier Ive ever been to, and I really enjoyed going and seeing the modern take on it, despite it not being... Perfect. But I knew it wouldnt be perfect in the first place, and Ive had a long time to accept that. Anyways. Thats my very picky two cents on the matter. thanks for taking me Remington Lafon : ) Im glad someone understands how important my King novels are to me
