بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ AS-SALAAMU ALAIKUM, WA REHMATUL LAAHI WA BARAKAATUH, AUZO BIL LAAHI MIN ASH SHAYTAANIR RAJEEM, BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHIM AL HAMDU LILLAAHI RABBIL ‘ALAMEEN. WAS SALAATU WAS SALAAMU ‘ALAA ASHRAFIL MURSALEEN. SAYIDINAA WA NABI YENAA WA MOULANAA MUHAMMADIN WA’ALA AALEHEE WA AS HAABEHEE WASALLIM. All praise is due to Alláh, the Lord of all the Worlds; may the greetings and peace be upon the best messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and upon his family and upon all of his companions. AL-HAMDU LILLA HIL LAZI HADAANA LIHAAZA WAMA KUNNA LANAHTADIYA LAW’LA ANN HADAANA ALLAH. Meaning: Praise is due to Allah who guided us to the righteous path, and indeed we wouldn’t have attained this state of guidance without Him Allah, AMMA BA’AD. IKHWATI FIL ISLAM, ASH-HAAB AL ILM, WA RUWAAD AL ILM, Brothers in Islam, Learned Colleagues and Scholars, AS-SALAAMU ALAIKUM, WA REHMATUL LAAHI WA BARAKAATUH, The purpose of today’s Khutba is to strengthen our Iman by re-iterating the Ayaats of the Quran and Hadith and freeing from the shackles of the material world to the illimitable luminous space of the spiritual life. To do this we have to seek guidance from the learned as reported in the following hadith: Narrated Jarir bin Abdullah (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said to me during Hajjat-al-Wida’ (last pilgrimage of the Prophet (SAW) “Let the people keep quiet (and listen)”. Then he said (addressing the people), “Do not become infidels (reverting to disbelief) after me, striking the necks (cutting the throats) of one another (killing each other).” فَإِنْ حَاجُّوكَ فَقُلْ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّهِ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَنِ ۗ وَقُل لِّلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْأُمِّيِّينَ أَأَسْلَمْتُمْ ۚ فَإِنْ أَسْلَمُوا فَقَدِ اهْتَدَوا ۖ وَّإِن تَوَلَّوْا فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ ( سورة آل عمران , Aal-e-Imran, Chapter #3, Verse #20) (15) So if they dispute with thee, say: I have submitted My whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me. And say to the People of the Book and to those who are unlearned: Do ye (also) submit yourselves? If they do, they are in right guidance, but if they turn back, Thy duty is to convey the Message; and in Allahs sight are (all) His servants. Dear Brothers in Islam, remember that the whole universe is in your mind. When the mind disappears, then where is the universe? You are in the prison of your mind. You spent the first 9 months of prison in the womb. Then you were born in to the prison of the 4th Dimension, and into this world. Then you entered into the prison of your race, gender and the prison of your family. You were also born into the prison of the religion of your family. Then you entered into the prison of school. After school you entered into the jailhouse of your job. Then you entered into the prison of your wife, husband, and children. Then you entered into the prison of old age and sickness. Finally you will enter into the prison of death. And it is not known whether or not after death you will enter into the prison of heaven, or hell. There is a way out of these many prisons. In order to break out of prison, you must have something that is from beyond the prison walls that can take you outside of the prison to freedom. The key to break out of prison is: LA EE LA HA ILL ALLAH (God is the ONLY reality)… These words of power, this meditation is from beyond the walls of the many prisons we are in. They are from beyond this world and the next world. Use these words of Realization and freedom to break out of prison. LA EE LA HA ILL ALLAH means only Allah/God is Real. Say these words over, and over until they become rooted in your heart, soul, mind and body. When you can say these words with every breath, you will be free from prison. Hence, when liberated what’s next? A mureed asked, “Someone said that the meaning of Islam is to eliminate impurity and become pure. Is that right my Sheikh?” The Sheikh replied, “I told you that it is easy to talk about Islam, but very difficult to act accordingly. What that person said was right, but the one who heard it merely listened; he did not do anything about it. “Someone did say that, but our birth and existence themselves are impure. The place from which we emerged and the place in which we grow are impure. Everything until the end is impure. When impurity is discarded, man will indeed be pure. When all attachments are cut away, only purity remains. That is Islam. The body, the world and our attachments are the impurity. What he said was right, but how can we get rid of impurity when everything we see is tainted? The body, possessions, and the elemental spirit are all impure. When they are all dispelled, purity will remain. This means that the world must die away from us. Only then does one become pure.” People who relish the pleasure of worldly desires are people of hell. Those who learn and receive divine knowledge in the world are the disciples of the sheikh. Those who receive Allah’s benevolence, qualities, and grace and those who lose themselves in Him, are who serve Him as His representatives and messengers. There is no purpose in fighting a jihad, a holy war, against those in the world outside you, who do not accept Allah. Within you, there are creations that do not accept Allah. If you can wage jihad on them, eliminate them, and strengthen your absolute faith, certitude, and determination in Allah alone, you will attain the excellence of a mu’min, a true believer. Do not fight holy wars, seeking to kill other creations of Allah because of their religions. Fight a holy war to destroy religious hatred within yourself. That will bring glory to the inner religion spoken of by Allah and the Rasulullah (SAW). Do not serve God with the motive of gaining titles, honors and praise. Do not set out to capture the kingdom of Allah and the wealth of His grace, thinking in your arrogance that they belong to you alone. What does a person need in order to live in peace? Give up your desire to capture and own the things of the world. Search for Allahu Rabbul Alamin, then you will find perfect peace. O man, if you catch a thief in the world, you might scold him or hit him. But if you search carefully, you will find a bigger thief within you who is stealing all your valuable treasures. Catch him, punish him, and drive him away. Then you can safeguard the true wealth of your life. If a man evaluates his own actions with justice, inquires into the state of his own heart, and carries out the judgment of Allah on everything within his own heart which is guilty of causing him to do wrong- that will be more exalted than seventy times of prayer and worship. The Self is Luminous. If you do not see Allah and know Allah within your Self, you will never see and know Allah. Just know that we are all living in a dream world, far from the Divine reality. Our lives have become stages for illusion, false hood, and the race for hell and lower desires. If we do not wake up before we are woken up, it will be the end of a long long dream that was only dust in the wind. When you have received this knowledge of Ma’arifah next, the Hakikat of it can be told in the following story: A tiger thought to himself, “Though I roam all over the jungle, I still cannot catch enough animals to fill my stomach. If I go into the village, there will be so many goats, cattle, and dogs, which I can capture and eat to my heart’s content, live happily, eat as much and as long as I want; and eat new and interesting kinds of food.” So the tiger left the jungle, moved to the village, and roamed around, running here and there. The people panicked. The goatherd locked up his goats, the cow herder locked up his cattle, and the dogs hid in terror. Men came with guns and bows and arrows to kill the tiger. The tiger was frightened, and so were the men who lived there and so were the goats, cattle and dogs. The tiger could neither obtain his food nor live in peace. A month went by like this. The tiger had not been able to find any food, the men could not sleep, and the goats and cattle could not go out to graze. Finally, the tiger sitting under a tree and said to it, “O tree, if I were in the jungle I might have captured and eaten at least one animal by now, but my greed drove me here. Now my life is in danger and, what’s more, I am causing trouble to everyone. What has happened? I have gone hungry for a whole month. What do you think I should do?” The tree replied, “O tiger, I grew from a single seed. I was a tiny seed and see how far I have grown! I am growing right up to the sky. See how many fruits I have. See how many birds, animals, and human beings come to partake of my fruit. Though I was once only a tiny seed, now I get my peace from giving off my fruit to all his creations. “What God provided for you in the jungle was enough to satisfy your hunger. Your greed in wanting to take more lives was due to ignorance, and that ignorance has caused you so much trouble and suffering. You set out to cause suffering to many lives and, as a result, you yourself are suffering. Therefore, return to the jungle and obtain your peace and tranquility from the food God provides for you day by day. Be satisfied with that, and you will have contentment.” This is what the tree told the tiger, and the same is true for man. If he can find the one seed which can grant him fulfillment, he will never intend harm to others. If within him, he can find the seed that is good and correct, the harvest that comes from him will give peace to all. He will not want any of the fruits for himself. All the good things which blossom from him will go forth to bring peace and happiness to others, and mankind will exist as one race. If man gives as the tree gives, his wealth will never diminish- just as a tree bears new fruit every year. If he can find that one point of the Truth, which is to give to others with faith in God, certitude, and determination, and if he can give all the praise to God, that will give him peace. Finally, I am begging all of you to do as I did. Find a living master, and sit at his or her feet until you experience death before death. Please, please, please try to find a living master who can breathe the spark of Divinity directly into your soul, and wake U up from the nightmare illusion, a dream that you call your life… In a hadith it is reported: If one learns, knows, and understands ilm, or divine knowledge from a sheikh, from rasuls, from men of wisdom, or through the ahadith he will attain a state more exalted than he performs fifty times of prayer. youtu.be/lQTbmzMcmoY by admin
