1: 30 PM | Kargil observes shutdown: Mehboob Khan reports: On the call of Anjuman Jamiyat Ullama (the Islamic Society Kargil), Kargil today remained shut as all the business establishments, private organizations and government offices including all the government and private schools remained closed. All organizations, including the Students Education Moment Kargil supported the Bandh Call of ISK. Sheikh Asgar Zakiri Member Ullama Council on behalf of the Ullama Council condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran and requested the government to take immediate action keeping in view the sentiments of the Muslim community in general and humanity in particular. 1: 17 PM | Ground Report from Gool: Complete shutdown is being observed in Gool belt of Ramban in Jammu region, where Border Security forces killed civilians by firing on them indiscriminately. Shops and other establishment in the area remain closed. However, there was no deployment of government forces in the area.
