1) Ah, yes, thats why no one knows the name of that one goal-scorer from Argentina, or that one from Portugal. 2) I havent the foggiest where she comes up with the notion that a sport cant be a real sport unless theres No Girls (Boys) Allowed! 3) That means the defense has done its job. 4) Again, I dont know where she gets the idea that a sport can only be a real sport if players can get injured. Also, After a football game, ambulances carry off the wounded. WTF?!?! 5) I might agree if the rule specifically stated, No opposable thumbs can be used. But, in soccer, you cant use your hands or arms. Im pretty sure lesser beasts have arms. But the no arms rule is one of the main attractions of soccer: heres an appendage that weve come to rely so much on; and one that you cannot use to win. 6) Translation: I cant like anything if Im told that other people like it! 7) Yes! Soccer is foreign! Not like football, which is a sport derived from rugby, which started in England. Oops! I mean baseball, which has its origins in 14th Century France. DAMMIT! 8) How in Hell is soccer like the metric system? If Ann Coulter knows, she aint sayin! 9) I dont know if soccer is generally catching on or not. But I do know quite a few people who are watching this World Cup, even though they didnt four years ago.
